Group Leader: Dr. Frank Ortmann

Frank Ortmann studied physics and received his doctorate with “summa cum laude” from the Friedrich Schiller University Jena in 2009 with a dissertation on the theory of charge transport in organic semiconductors. In the same year he joined CEA Grenoble (France) as postdoctoral fellow and was awarded a Marie-Curie Fellowship in 2010. In 2011 he moved to the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, Barcelona (Spain). In 2013 he joined the TU Dresden, where he started leading a research group in June 2014.

B. Sc. Sebastian Hutsch

Sebastian finished his B. Sc. degree in Physics at the TU Dresden in 2014 with a thesis on ferroelectric lithography. Now he continues towards the Master degree. He is involved in the research with a project on charge transport simulations.

Dipl. Phys. Michel Panhans

Michel studied physics at the TU Dresden with specialization in the field of General Relativity. His diploma thesis in 2014 on “Newtonian BD-Spin-Moments and Gravito-magentism of the solar system” was realized at the Institute of Theoretical Physics and the chair of Astronomy of the TU Dresden. In 2014 he joined the group as a PhD student to work on simulations of charge-transport phenomena in molecular structures.

Dipl. Phys. Sebastian Schellhammer

“Diplom” in Physics, 2011, Dresden University of Technology, Germany. Sebastian is employed through cfaed and is jointly supervised with G. Cuniberti. He works on Organic Electronics Materials.

M. Sc. Petros Skopelitis

Petros received his M.Sc. degree in Physics from Royal Holloway, University of London. He joined the Ortmann group in 2018 working on the theory of organic semiconductors.
